The Big Bad Reddit
“Reddit is so much more than just nudity.”
When I first started my journey in marketing my OnlyFans, I had no clue where to start. I had been completely off social media for over a year. Caring for four kids took up all of my time.
I loved reddit because I only had to post one time a day. Multiple posts, same content, same time everyday. Let me explain further.
Reddit has communities instead of hashtags. So you may search #bikini on TikTok where as on reddit, you would search bikini related communities to join and participate in as a contributor or just as a fan yourself.
The benefit of this as a creator is you don’t have to worry about feeling too repetitive. Someone that likes the mom next door vibe may not like pokies, but with the same photo, you can post on both communities.
As a busy mom, I couldn’t make reels or tiktoks or find time to follow trends and such with my busy schedule. Reddit is most active between 6-6:30 am. This was perfect for me because my kids woke up at 6:45 every morning.
I could be done with ‘work’ before they woke up every morning! This blew my mind!!
It was so much fun, I got to wake up and have fun online before the kids woke up. At the same time, I was promoting this new ‘thing’ my hubby and I were doing just by having fun expressing myself in a new way.
But then the Big Bad NSFW …
I started to quickly notice that almost everyone in my communities of choice were… naked.
Instead of being baffled, I was amazed. These women my age and older were celebrating their bodies and redditors were celebrating with them! It was a momentous moment for me as it helped to change the way I viewed both myself and nudity in general. It made me see the body as it truly is, a work of art.
So, I joined in and celebrated myself along with them. Though this was important for me individually, I understand that may not be for everyone. To push that on anyone would be absurd because it is entirely your decision to make, but for me, I needed this to feel sexy again. This was that last step I needed to feel comfortable in my skin.
Reddit is amazing for anyone that’s not that into ‘traditional’ social media.
